Une ouverture mémorable pour le 200e anniversaire de l’Expo Lachute Fair

Le premier week-end soulignant le 200e anniversaire de l’Expo Lachute Fair a donné le ton à des célébrations grandioses. Plus vieille foire agricole au Québec et deuxième plus ancienne au Canada, l’Expo Lachute Fair demeure un événement incontournable qui rassemble la communauté tout en mettant en valeur nos traditions agricoles.

Les festivités ont débuté avec une performance dynamique de Justine Blanchet, qui a su réchauffer la foule grâce à sa voix puissante et son énergie contagieuse.

Le spectacle s’est poursuivi avec Matt Lang, le populaire chanteur country québécois, reconnu notamment pour son succès « Getcha ». Très généreux et proche de son public, il n’a pas hésité à descendre dans la foule pour signer des autographes, poser pour des photos et échanger avec ses admirateurs, au plus grand plaisir de tous. La nouvelle station Fréquence FM de Lachute en a d’ailleurs profité pour réaliser une courte entrevue avec Matt Lang, celui-ci profitant de son passage dans notre belle région pour se rapprocher de son public. The Reklaws, le duo frère-sœur originaire de l’Ontario, ont ensuite pris le relais, enchaînant leurs succès et faisant chanter la foule à l’unisson.

 

La soirée s’est conclue en beauté grâce à un impressionnant feu d’artifice musical orchestré par Joey Beaulieu de Pyrotechnie du Nord, offrant un spectacle visuel et sonore parfaitement synchronisé qui a émerveillé petits et grands.

L’Expo Lachute Fair promet de poursuivre sur cette lancée lors du prochain week-end, du 10 au 13 juillet 2025, avec une programmation variée et festive qui saura plaire à toute la famille.

The first weekend celebrating the 200th anniversary of the Lachute Fair set the tone for a series of grand festivities. As the oldest agricultural fair in Quebec and the second oldest in Canada, the Lachute Fair remains a must-see event that brings the community together while showcasing local agricultural traditions.

The celebrations began with a dynamic performance by Justine Blanchet, who won over the crowd with her powerful voice and contagious energy.

The show continued with Matt Lang, the popular Quebec country singer best known for his hit “Getcha.” Generous and close to his fans, he didn’t hesitate to jump into the crowd to sign autographs, pose for photos, and chat with his supporters — to the great delight of all. The new Fréquence FM Lachute radio station also took the opportunity to conduct a short interview with Matt Lang, who used his visit to our beautiful region to connect even more with his audience.

The Reklaws, the brother-sister duo from Ontario, then took over, stringing together their hits and getting the entire crowd singing along.

The evening concluded spectacularly with an impressive musical fireworks show orchestrated by Joey Beaulieu of Pyrotechnie du Nord, offering a perfectly synchronized visual and sound performance that amazed young and old alike.

The Lachute Fair promises to keep this momentum going during the next weekend, from July 10 to 13, 2025, with a varied and festive program sure to please the whole family.
