Lachute, 14 septembre 2025 – Pour sa 10e édition, Argenteuil en Blues a prouvé qu’il savait marier authenticité et originalité. Bien que l’achalandage ait été légèrement affecté par d’autres activités régionales, les festivaliers repartent unanimes : la programmation et les prestations furent tout simplement remarquables.

Dès l’ouverture, le duo Father’n’Son a conquis le public. Original et enivrant, leur passage a été salué comme l’un des moments les plus marquants du festival. Beaucoup ont décrit leur performance comme « sublime et sincère », digne des plus grandes scènes.

Sous le grand chapiteau, JW-Jones a électrisé la foule. Sa virtuosité à la guitare et sa présence scénique ont fait l’unanimité. « On a eu l’impression d’assister à un concert de calibre international, ici même au parc Barron », confiait un spectateur émerveillé.

Autre moment fort, The One Love Project a livré un vibrant hommage à Bob Marley. Avec ses rythmes reggae chaleureux et son énergie contagieuse, le groupe a transformé le site en grande fête rassembleuse. Le public, debout, chantait en chœur des refrains mythiques comme One Love et Redemption Song, créant un moment de fraternité mémorable.

Pour les familles, le théâtre jeunesse La Girafe Rose a offert une parenthèse magique. Les enfants riaient aux éclats et les parents parlaient d’un « moment enchanteur qu’on aimerait revivre chaque année ».

En soirée, Barbara Diab a brillé sous le chapiteau avec son groupe The Smoked Meat Band, mais aussi plus tôt sur la scène gratuite Découvertes, où elle a animé un atelier intimiste retraçant l’évolution du blues en Amérique. « C’était une véritable leçon de musique vivante », commentait un spectateur ravi de pouvoir profiter d’une telle qualité artistique gratuitement.

Le festival s’est conclu en beauté avec la grande Johanne Blouin, qui a offert un spectacle intime et chaleureux. Les spectateurs ont eu le bonheur de chanter avec elle, créant une communion rare entre artiste et public. « C’était comme être invité dans son salon », témoignait une festivalière.

Et fidèle à la tradition, le tirage de la fameuse guitare a encore une fois suscité l’excitation. Le grand gagnant de cette année : Rocco Valeriote, reparti sous les applaudissements avec le précieux instrument.

Partout sur le site, l’éloge était unanime : « Le choix des artistes a été merveilleux. Chacun d’eux, qu’il soit sur la grande scène ou sur la scène Découvertes, avait le talent digne des plus grands. »

Malgré une affluence un peu plus modeste, Argenteuil en Blues 2025 fut un triomphe artistique. Le festival a prouvé, encore une fois, que la passion et la qualité musicale peuvent transformer un week-end en souvenirs impérissables.

Lachute, September 14, 2025 – For its 10th edition, Argenteuil en Blues once again proved that it knows how to blend authenticity and originality. Even though attendance was slightly lower due to other regional events, festivalgoers were unanimous: the lineup and the performances were simply outstanding.

From the very start, the duo Father’n’Son captured the audience. Original and intoxicating, their sets were hailed as some of the most memorable moments of the festival. Many described their performance as “sublime and sincere,” worthy of any major stage.

Under the big tent, JW-Jones electrified the crowd with his flawless guitar work and charismatic stage presence. “It felt like an international-caliber concert, right here at Parc Barron,” said one amazed attendee.
